Well, I wanted to get this blog up yesterday as it was my wife’s 29th birthday, but I just didn’t get around to it and it ended up being a pretty hectic day. So Happy 29th to Audra! I wanted to put up a picture of her, but I know that she would kill me.
This last weekend, I went to the ATA Show and got to spend some time with my buddy David. David works for Bowtech and we are talking about a possible sponsorship. Two things I always request from my sponsors is: #1, I have to believe in the product and #2, I have to have a good relationship with who I am dealing with. I know I’ve got both of those with Bowtech. Had two buddies go over to the ATA show with me, they went around and shot all the bows and they said the Bowtech Admiral shot the best. Another guy hanging around the Bowtech booth was Lt. General Leroy Sisco. General Sisco is with the Military Warriors Support Foundation. This three star general was a pleasure to be around, he knew two of my buddies down in Texas: Marcus Luttrell (the writer of Lone Survivor) and Governor Rick Perry. I’m sure you’ll hear more of General Sisco down the road.
Well, as far as I know, the fight is going to be on May 23rd. If I find out anything different, which I don’t think will happen, then I’ll let you know. Right now, I’m getting ready to go to a concert tonight. My wife and a few other couples and heading down to St. Louis to go to an AC/DC concert. I did listen to a lot of AC/DC when I was a kid, but I’m really going to be with my wife and to have a good time.
So, I hope all is well and I’ll talk to everybody next week. -matt
