Amber Alert

I got this amber alert from Patrick Flanigan, after looking it over, there is nothing to show me that this is not true. Please take a look at the picture and if you recognize this girl dial the number below:
For those non-hunters out there, today is the first day of bow season here in Illinois. So this weekend I will find myself up in a tree waiting for a monster buck to walk by. Keep your fingers crossed for me everybody. I’ve been doing a lot of shooting with my bow lately, so for those of you wondering what I’m shooting it’s called a Bowtech Admiral. I shoot Gold Tip arrows and three of my four targets are Morrell. The reason I tell you this is because I think they are the best. A friend of mine, Shane Lee, has set up a charity website, A Fighters Chance, if you get some time please check it out: afighterschance.com Another friend of mine, Jack Raines, sent me a forward with some very cool military pictures, here are the three links to the pictures if you are interested: http://www.tom-phillips.info/images/cool.pics.military.htm http://www.tom-phillips.info/images/cool.pics.military.2.htm http://www.tom-phillips.info/images/cool.pics.military.3.htm I did hear about Rampage leaving the UFC and trying to pursue an acting career. If that’s what he wants to do that’s fine, but to be honest I would guess that he’ll be coming back to fighting within a couple of years. I would have to think that somebody has been talking to him and promising things that might not come true. I also hear Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort are scheduled for a fight now. A very interesting match up and if the Vitor who fought Franklin shows up, it could be interesting. So that’s the latest rumor I’ve heard from the UFC. I’m going to leave you with a joke I found funny and I talk to you next week, and I hope to have some good news for you then about a monster buck:
Finally, the Bible verse for this week:

Great pictures–loved the snow angels. Hope you have a successful hunt, Matt. Loved the joke, also.
I’ve already said a prayer for “Peanut”.

Matt, Good luck hunting, our season in Indiana started today as well. I didn’t see much last year so wish me luck. Anderson may struggle with Vitor but in your sport you never can tell. I always thought a wrestler with ground and pound skills like Hughes would do better with Anderson. Great blog this week, hope to hear when and who you are fighting soon. God Bless!

Thanks buddy! Good luck on the hunt.

John that good wrestler was Dan Henderson and it didn’t work. Everyone that keeps saying Matt is a good match up for Anderson is out of there mind. No one is a good match up for Anderson! Dan is a bigger and more well rounded version of Matt ( I give Matt the submissioins advantage ). Anderson made Forest Griffin look of average size when in reality he is huge.

Good luck Matt! Season also started here in Indiana, which means Im a single woman until my husband gets his buck! LOL!! Ive seen that pic of the missing little girl before, I believe it is a few years old but as far as I know she is still missing. Breaks my heart. I helped push Jessie’s Law here in Indiana until it was finally passed. Its a sad world we live in when such a high number of violence victims are children. Thanks for passing it along. Cant wait to see pics of your next kill!

Illinois, I see what you are saying but Dan Henderson pooped out after the 1st round. Travis Lutter did good until he pooped out. If Henderson was prepared for that fight he could have done better. I don’t see a stand up fighter beating Silva that is why I say he needs to be ground and pounded on or maybe submitted. Vitor with his quickness maybe, but Hughes is my pick no matter who he is against anyway but it was an opinion as you have yours. thanks

Hey Matt,
Im a long time fan of yours and I was wondering if you ever considered moving to lightweight? I know the weight cut may be a bit much, but I think it would be very entertaining to see you in that division….not only could u be a champion, but i think it would just be a lot of fun!

I have a hard time believing that the Belfort-Silva match-up will be competitive. There is only one man who I believe might be able to out-strike him. That’s Lyoto Machida and I don’t see that fight happening for awhile. His accuracy, reflexes, and power just put him on a completely different level. Dan Herderson actually showed everyone the way to beat him. Takedown, smother, contain. But he seems to like fighting at light-heavyweight more recently and the top talent in that division seems to be lacking in really top-notch wrestlers. I thought maybe Forrest would be able to take him out using the Henderson method, but his gameplan was obviously to strike with him. I’m sorry Forrest, I love you, but that was poor planning. I think Vitor comes out too aggressive and gets taken out like Griffin. With a counter-punch. Matt, any word on a fight in the near future? I’d love to see you in there again.
