The picture of Chief Gebhart is truly awesome example of what he's all about. Having worked with him, I can tell you he is truly among the best of us. More of good news like this, is what needs to be shared and told the people around the world. God Bless

Stories like that are the reason I still support what we're doing in spite of all the negative press. I live in Colorado Springs. There is a higher concentration of millitary personel here than in any other US city. I know so many heroes and can vouch for the quality of our fighting men overseas. Good on you doing your part to get the news out about the heroics of the greatest kind of people our country has to offer.

As for the last two UFC event, I have to say I expected Griffin to win by a wider margin, if not finish the fight. But I don't believe this fight is an indication that Forrest is slowing down. I think it just means that Tito might hove more left in the tank than I thought. Although I still don't respect his attitude. Would love to hear your imput.

I like hearing stories like that one as well. I’m a huge patriot to our country and our efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. I just recently got back from my first tour in Iraq about three weeks ago and I cannot stop telling the good news. We were stationed out of Mosul right where the crazy stuff happened; I’ve never seen a place like that before in my life. The city was like a bombed out city from a WWII movie, it was truly a humbling experience. Our efforts in MND-N are improving every rotation, and I’m happy to say I was there. I wish all the troops overseas a happy Thanks Giving; it can be tough being away from your family during the holidays. But to tell you the truth I was in Camp Beuring Kuwait this time last year and the food and decorations were awesome. There is nothing like your own family, but there is truly nothing like the Army family. Go Ordnance!

Having spent 2 years in Iraq, I can attest to 100's of stories like the one you posted, but unfortunately those are the things that the media will never show. I wrote a letter while in Iraq about all the good things that we were doing and sent it to numerous chicago-land papers and the only paper that would publish my story and pictures was my own little hometown agency. I'm so glad I got the hell out of the city and moved to Hillsboro. More power to you for posting this. Have a great holiday with your family!
