hey matt how are ya man.I remember when you came to vandalia high school and wrestled and beat our whole team 96-97 and are team was state champs by the way Andy Stritzel probably set that up knowing you was ganna take it to all of us.Hey man i just wanted 2 say I started fighting around 2006 and turned pro that year i thought if matt and mark could than maybe i can.Well 4 fights later i realized wow this is ganna take some work so in saying that man i never cared who you fought or if you won or lost.Dude you were awesome with them slams and im sure you still are.I trained with Mike Berryhill in tx.american top team and had to leave 2 months later so im back in vandalia lookin to train with you and the guys. and soon as i get the money im willin to move to granite.The wife n i are goin through a difficult divorce with 3 kids.Anyway bro god bless u and your family.And who cares about the loss from bj cant win em all.

I think it would be quite fitting if your fighter on this season of T.U.F. were to win it all, being that he’s on GSP’s team. Wouldn’t that be ironic? Anyway… I’m praying for you on Saturday.

Waylon: Sorry, I know you wanted to hear from Matt and not some other commenter, but while you’re waiting, here are some Bible passages which present the basic essential truths of Christianity:

I don’t know if you actually read these comments or not but I probably had the worst moment of my life yesterday. I thought of you when you spoke about praying when you were caught in a submission for God to get you out of it against Mr. Penn and a few minutes later I found myself out of it.
I am not a religious person, but you did cross my mind and I prayed at that moment. I am now safe.
I know you’re a Christian and if you do happen to read this by any chance, can you tell me you’re favorite biblical passage and recommend any to a person who is a bit unsure?

Hey Matt,

I just wanted to wish you good luck against B.J. this Saturday. To be honest, I was one of your biggest detractors for a long time. I respected you as a fighter, but I was one of those people that wasn’t too fond of how you came off during your on the “TUF” shows. After reading your blog and your autobiography, I’ve come to realize that you’re a pretty good guy. I’ve been following MMA since 2002 and I have to say that your current win streak has been one of the most fun things to watch for me personally. Good luck.
