Matt that’s a great story and that is why you are the greatest Champ in UFC history. May God continue to bless you and I will be praying for this man and his family. I wish BJ had pulled that out, he showed amazing guts in that fight. If BJ had your cardio and conditioning he would be unbeatable. Maybe you can get him out to train with Franklin!!! Matt, God has called you to glorify Him. The battle you face as a child of God is far greater than any opponent that you have ever faced or will face in the ring. God is going to allow you to be tested, broken, and even defeated according to defeat of this world. He did with Job and most of all He allowed His only son to be. You are no different. You are in an occupation that is surronded by a lust for sin like a kid lust for candy. satan will use every and any opportunity he can to break your faith and trust in God. Stay the course, fight all your battles on your knees and above all be ye not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of your mind. May God anoint and bless you with a double portion of His grace.

Hey matt im a 16 year old boy in alaska and have been a fan of you since 2001, and i got to be honest when i say your my hero the way you present yourself not just in the sport but in life and i try to follow what you do. im in high school and do wrestling for my school and enrolled in a bjj class. your success in the octagon with wrestling really got me to do wrestling and i love it. you know not much happens out hear in alaska not alot of people come up hear we cant meet alot of fighters like people in the lower 48s, but there is this little organization here called AFC alaska fighting championships and the airforce sometimes brings UFC fighters to AFC events and it has been my dream to meet you so maybe if you could ask around to look into it that would be awesome thanks matt.

Matt, You have been my favorite fighter since the Trigg 2 fight and I have been blessed to have meet you twice and this does not suprise me at all. I felt you were down to earth like a family member would be when me and my kids came to your hit squad gym. You are a true champ in so many ways and this proves it. God Bless and thanks for sharing.
